“Regard man as a mine rich in gems of inestimable value. Education can, alone, cause it to reveal its treasures and enable mankind to benefit therefrom.”
-The Bahai Writings
Virtues are qualities of the heart and the content of our character. Each summer, during the last week of July, participants in Camp Virtues have the opportunity to discover and explore the gifts of virtues within each of them. Playful, age-appropriate activities include prayer, music, stories, art and cooperative games focused on the virtue of the day.
Camp Virtues is a way for children to experience a little of what our free, weekly neighborhood Bahai children’s classes are like. These classes are held on Tuesday afternoons during the school year in the Del Sur/4S Ranch area. Priority placement in Camp Virtues is given to those families that are interested in having their children attend these classes.
Camp Virtues and the weekly classes are open to people of all religions and ethnic backgrounds as a way to nurture their tender hearts and minds and help them form a strong moral foundation which will serve them throughout their lives.
Camp Virtues is sponsored by the Local Spiritual Assembly of the Bahais of San Diego. For more information about the Bahai Faith, please visit www.bahai.org
